Don’t Discount Discount Moving Boxes
Certainly you want to protect your property when you move. Very few of us are so unrealistic as to expect that all our dishes will arrive unbroken or that the furniture won’t suffer the odd ding and scratch. By that same token however, we do plan on arriving with at least some of the plates and glasses in one piece. Which is why we might give short shrift to discount moving boxes. And even if you are working with slightly thinner cardboard, as long as you aren’t jumping up and down on the boxes, discount moving boxes hold up just as well as super expensive ones do. Further, there are any number of reasons for that discount. It could be that your supplier simply buys in a greater quantity than anyone else and, therefore, gets a better deal. That means the savings can be passed on to the customer.
Fancy packaging, labels and print also up the costs of boxes. They’re boxes. Anything much more than the UPC code tends to be somewhat unnecessary. If you’re moving to the kind of area where you will be shunned if you don’t use gilded, lilac-scented boxes with Excelsior Brand embossed on the outside, do what you must, but it won’t be any better quality. Boxes need to be of the right size and shape to hold your possessions.
Ideally they won’t have holes where there aren’t supposed to be any, and the bottoms won’t fall out unless they’re soggy or badly overloaded — regardless of the cost, cardboard can only take so much. Anything beyond that can generally be classed as frills. Discount moving boxes provide you with the service you need and hold the frills to save you money. The gas is going to cost you enough.
